waiting for the invitation letter

Two days ago, I received my future mentor's e-mail, in which he says that he is interested to supervise my doctoral dissertation. He also requires me to contact with him for further agreements. I was very excited and at that night I telephone him via skype. We talked briefly about the scholarship and he said he will send the invitation letter to me in a few days. I am waiting for it anxiously now.

to be like Christopher

I don't know when I gave myself an English name, Christpher. Maybe other people don't know why I have such an English name. In fact, I name myself after Christopher Columbus, the prestigious Italian navigator.
He has so many characteristics that I admire and desire to possess. He is adventurous, persistant and has unparalleled pursue for his dream: to open up a new route to India, China, Japan, which were supposed to have millions of golds.
Today when I open up one of my newly-bought book, I will write down CHRISTOPHER , hoping that I can pursue my dream with courage, confidence and persistence.
